Firm, dense and slightly oily meat, makes this fish suitable to many palates. Cleaned and served whole, our trevally is mild–flavored and is excellent choice for children as their bones can be easily removed.

Ideal for: Barbecued Fish, Baked fish recipies, Fish Fry, Meen Kuzhambu, Chettinadu Fish curry, Tawa Fish Fry

Slices: 6-8 slices of degutted fish with part of its head and tail.

Freshness Indicator: The fish should be firm, moist and shiny, which bounces back when touched. The eyes should be clear with no cloudiness and it should be cold to touch.

Tips:Slightly dry, it should be marinated beforehand or wrapped in foil to prevent it from drying out during cooking. Trevally tastes better without the skin due to the presence of a dark oily bloodline.
